Q’s Song of the Day: “There’s A Place” – Winston!

Q’s Song of the Day is entitled “There’s A Place” by Winston!.

Due to the fact that I am overly nostalgic of late, I have chosen a song that reminds me of some of my fondest high school memories… my high school band! Winston! was a short-lived piece of genius that was before its time. All who doubt this are irrational beings! We had an impressive blend of sultry jazz sax, cabaret piano, metal bass, indie drumming, and pop guitar stylings. We were the tomorrow of 2005/2006. Sadly, we disband after a short run, about a little over a year. However, we had some brilliant laughs and made some long-lasting memories. This song is a testament to them.

I still write a play to this day. When I first came the University of Arizona I actually played some open mic nights and was writing quite profusely. I toyed with the idea of pursuing my music as a true career path, but then decided against it. Anyways, I digress. This is a fun song written by a young 16 year old. I think it holds that sort of air about it. Enjoy and I am eager to see what you think.

[Note: Yes, I am singing in addition to playing guitar.]
